Happy holidays

I was tempted to whine in this post about how busy I've been the last few weeks—and how much I still have left to do. Then I realized, this holiday has the potential to be hard on everybody, in one way or another. And "being busy" doesn't hold a candle to what some people are facing this season. But there is also the potential for a whole lot of happiness. So in that vein, I'm not going to post pictures of my perfect Christmas decorations (because mine so aren't) or dozens of wrapped gifts (because none of mine are wrapped yet, so that would be hard to do).

Right now there is exactly one present wrapped and under my tree. So I'm going to post about that, because this is where my holiday happiness lives, crazy wrapping and all. (Pretty sure my daughter got some help from my husband with this wrapping, and the picture of the psycho inmate in the wheelchair was his idea of a hilarious joke. Let's hope, anyway.)

Very happy holidays to all of my blog readers and your families. I hope, no matter what challenges you're facing, that you can find the happiness. There's not a day that goes by that I'm not thankful for this blog and appreciative that people take time out of their busy days to come here, just to see what I'm making. You guys bring me almost as much happiness as the one present that's under my tree.
