My Week, Instagrammed

Screen-Shot-2013-11-11-at-1.18.42-AM-1

Each week, I blog some of my Instagram photos from recent days. (Follow me, @freshlypieced, on Instagram.)

My latest project. Yes, I am that crazy.

Another iron bites the dust. (The cheapo Sunbeam started leaking.) Fortunately I had this pretty yellow Oliso on hand—I was just waiting for the right moment to break it out of the box.

This gorgeous “Lakes” bundle of Oakshott shot cottons arrived on my doorstep. All the Lake colors are shot through with blue. Like a breath of fresh air, these are.

Took a walk on a beautiful afternoon.

Your quilt is beautiful, Lee! You have such a talent for choosing the right colors. I will be interested to see how you like your Oliso. I have the highly-rated T-Fal iron and have been very happy with it. (By the way, I tried to comment here using Bloglovin' on my IPhone. Obviously that comment didn't stick! Now I'm using Safari through my Macbook and it's working.)

Crazy? You are not crazy. But you are super talented and creative. What is the deal with the irons these days. I just bough a Sunbeam and it just doesn't get as hot as my previous 10 yr old iron.

I love your new quilt top!! I am going back to a 20.00 Black n Decker iron. So mad I bought a more expensive brand and it has leaked from day 1. Never had problems with my previous iron. Until I caught the cord on my foot and sent it crashing to the floor, darn it!

I am officially in love with your new quilt top!! Seriously. I may blatantly copy it, but probably not, because I'm pretty sure my mind doesn't work that way. My cheap B&D iron has been leaking for over a year, I just keep using it sorta hoping the house won't burn down….

is that new top pieced or paper pieced? what a job – I often work on a project like this in stages, so I don't just give up on the whole thing – I love piecing, but the smaller bits get tedious.
