WIP Wednesday: Central Block Done!

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
Boom! Center block of my Aviatrix Medallion quilt is done. I am so ready for the next step!

I was worried about how all the gray half-square triangles would look together, and whether they would work overall. But I have to say, I really love it. I’m glad I threw that gray Cotton + Steel print in with the solids. Adds a little pop of interest.

Today’s WIP Wednesday is brought to you by Stash Fabrics! Stash has officially opened their fabulous new website, making it so much easier to browse their great selection and find what you need. Stash is currently taking pre-orders on Cotton + Steel, Far Far Away by Heather Ross, and Jungle Ave by Sara Lawson, so you know you won’t miss out on those great lines. Shipping is free on orders over $50, and right now they have an extra 15% off all clearance fabrics with the code CLEAR15. Congratulations to Stash on their new website—head over there right now to give them some WIP love. : )

And what are you working on this week? Here are the linky rules:
1. Link up any blog post or Instagram photo from the past week that features an unfinished work-in-progress (WIP).
2. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog.
3. If you are linking to an Instagram photo, please hashtag #wipwednesday and mention me, @freshlypieced. To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon in the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL would be www.instagram.com/freshlypieced).
4. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments! And remember, you can participate only on Instagram if you prefer. You don’t necessarily need to link up here. Just hashtag #wipwednesday—and then check the hashtag to see what everybody else is working on!

It's beautiful! Nice fabric choice, the grays from the outside make an excellent contrast with the colors & white fabrics from the middle of your medallion. Very nice!

Gorgeous medallion! And I agree about your use of the print with the greys–it really adds something special.

And! Check out your Sugar Snow pattern (with tiny modifications for size) that some co-workers and I made. I think it turned out beautifully. We hope you agree. 🙂

Thanks for hosting this link-up, it's so fun to see everyone's projects! This might be a silly question, but I just linked up for the first time and I'm having trouble finding the code to add your button to my blog…do you mind passing that info along?
Your Center Block looks amazing, by the way – I can't wait to see how the rest of it comes together!

I love your center block! I would like to make this quilt, also, but need to finish a few UFOs before I start anything else. I will enjoy your Aviatrix journey!
