WIP Wednesday: With Guest Host Lindsey

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
Hi there! My name is Lindsey and I am really excited to be here for WIP Wednesday! I am a mother of three little ones, and in my spare time (which isn’t much with the littles running around) I love to quilt, blog, run, bake, and binge on Netflix. (My current addiction is House.) Although I am a fairly new quilter, I have completely fallen in love!

I have two bloggy homes where I share a lot of fun stuff! You can find me sharing my latest quilts, sewing projects, and tutorials at both the Fort Worth Fabric Studio blog and Inspiring Creations.

Here are just a few projects you can find from my blogs:
Right now I have two quilts that I am working on. Believe it or not, I have never made a patchwork quilt before, and decided I needed to take care of that right away! So I have pieced this fun little patch work quilt! I am in the process of quilting it right now.
The other WIP I am working on right now is a quilt from Lori Holt’s book Quilty Fun: Lessons in Scrappy Patchwork.  It’s a very slow process, but I can’t wait to finish this baby! The butterflies are just a small piece of what will go into this quilt!
I want to thank Lee for having me today, and I look forward to seeing what you all are working on!
This week’s WIP Wednesday is brought to you by Canton Village Quilt Works. Canton Village is owned by Jackie Kunkel, a fantastic teacher, long-arm quilter, shop owner, and podcaster. (You can find her podcasts here or on iTunes—you can also check out her YouTube channel here.) Check out her amazing selection, including a huge range of Kona solids and precuts.

This week, Jackie’s offering one lucky winner her Black and White and Bright fat quarter bundle! Yay! To enter, just link up below for one chance to win, and/or do one of the following for a second chance: Follow the Canton Village blog, subscribe to their newsletter (click here to subscribe), or like their Facebook page, and comment that you’ve done so.

What are you working on this week? Here are the linky rules:
1. Link up any blog post or Instagram photo from the past week that features an unfinished Work-In-Progress (WIP).
2. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog.
3. If you are linking to an Instagram photo, please hashtag #wipwednesday and mention me, @freshlypieced. (To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon in the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link—for example, my URL would be www.instagram.com/freshlypieced.)
4. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

I get Canton Village's newsletter, that's how I found out about this fabulous giveaway. This is one awesome bundle. Thanks for the chance to win!

I follow the Canton Village blog and receive their newsletter. As for WIP's I don't have anything to show yet. I haven't gotten to the fabric cutting stage on anything yet, nor am I confident enough in my work to take photos while in progress.

My mom always said, "Slow and steady wins the race." Your Aviatrix Medallion quilt is stunning – it will be worth the time it is taking to complete. I'm really looking forward to seeing it, once it's done!
