WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Hello Freshly Pieced readers! I’m Cori and I blog over at Let’s Eat Grandpa. I blog about all sorts of making — quilting, sewing, DIY, decor, crafting, and recipes. My husband and I travel a lot, too!

I’ve been in make-make-make mode, since I have foot surgery coming up (boo!). Here are a few things I’ve been working on.

First up is my scrappy Swoon quilt! I’ve been slowly working on this for months — I’m not exactly fast and I’ve had other projects. But it’s finally ready to send off to the quilter (no way I’m quilting this beast on my tiny machine)! It’s scrappier than a lot of the Swoons out there, and I’m super happy with how it turned out — you can see more detailed pics on my Instagram!

I’m also just started working on a Bess Top (pattern from Imagine Gnats). Love these fabrics — the voile is so soft!

And I’ve been doing a little quilt-as-you-go, which is one of my favorite techniques! This is going to be a mug rug for a friend. Hope she loves it!

Thank you, Lee, for having me host today!

What have you been working on? Here’s how to link up:
1. Link up any blog post or Instagram photo from the past week that features an unfinished work-in-progress (WIP).
2. To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is www.instagram.com/freshlypieced). Please hashtag #wipwednesday and mention me, @freshlypieced.
3. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post.
4. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

I love your Bloomin' cushion. That is such a great idea, and the result is perfect. The simplicity of the North West quilt is stunning. Your work is full of dynamic sparkle.

I'm swooning over your Swoon quilt! Love your colour choices…they remind me of the first days of early autumn, bees returning to hives to make honey, goldenrod blowing on the breeze, leaves getting hints of gold…it is just beautiful.

Love the tote and the pillow. I'm going to have to seek out this quilt-as-you-go method. I'm still in the learning phase of quilting that I'm doing simple projects but I'm curious to try something new soon!

Thank you for all your hard work in making the challenge so successful, it's a shame that the challenge is ending but I can totally understand your reasons and wish you all the best.

I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster once when i went to see my friend in Indian this year on a business summit. I meant a man who's name is Dr ATILA he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one's gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I'm now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 5 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his mother was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 7 days when i returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn't believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is atilahealinghome@yahoo.com
