Six new quilt blocks! Summer Sampler 2020

Happy July! Now that summer is in full swing, I've been talking with a lot of my friends about how this has really been a "silver lining summer." We've had so many wonderful stop-and-smell-the-flowers type activities with family and close friends that never would have happened if our usual busy summer had gone off as planned. Things aren't perfect, of course, but we've had unexpected moments of magic too. I hope you're experiencing the same thing! But in the meantime, in the quilting realm ... Here are six "easier than they look" quilt blocks—that you can make right now!

These are my first 6 blocks in the Summer Sampler 2020 quilt-along ... and you can make these cuties too! They were all designed for low-stress, low-key piecing, and they are so much fuuunnnnn! Want to join us? Click here to subscribe to Summer Sampler 2020 and get immediate access to all 6 of these block patterns—plus another new block in your email inbox every Monday through September!

More of what I've been up to this summer
A few weeks ago I took a break from sewing to visit the Lake Michigan shoreline, and it was good for my soul. 💜Nearly empty beaches, miles of pristine sand dunes, and lots of sunshine, s'mores, and sitting on the dock. If you're in the midwest U.S. and looking for a nearby, drivable vacation with social-distancing potential, I highly recommend the Michigan lakeshore! The photo below was taken at Silver Lake State Park near Mears, Michigan, and just 10 minutes from Lake Michigan.
