WIP Wednesday: Nursing my Quilt Market hangover
When people say they have a Market hangover, they aren't kidding—that's really what it feels like. Between the sensory overload, the sleep deprivation, the constant socializing, and the walking mile after mile, the full experience can make you not want to leave your couch for days. I'm tired, you guys—physically, mentally, all of it! The one difference from a real hangover: I'm not swearing off Market forever and ever. In fact, I'm already thinking ahead to Spring Market in Pittsburg!
At any rate, this means that I've been, um, easing back into my sewing since my return, so how about a few pictures from Market instead of WIPs?
A whole line of blenders by Anna Maria Horner? Yes, please!
Carolyn Friedlander's Botanics line is going to be huge. Huge, I tell you.
Can hardly contain my excitement about this one: Melody Miller, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Alexia Abegg, Kim Kight, and Sarah Watts have joined forces to create an "epic" new brand. Although there were no designs to see at this Market, with all that talent, I guarantee you'll be hearing a lot more about Cotton + Steel! Click to watch a video about their story.
This Kona clamshell quilt by Latifah Saafir was to die for.
I caught the Schoolhouse session for Elizabeth Dackson's new book, Becoming a Confident Quilter, and got to see beauties like this in person.
Oh, and I'm happy to report that Faith, Katie, and I survived our Vintage Quilt Revival Schoolhouse session. It seemed to go over well, and I'm just soooo relieved that it's over. 😂
Okay, so what have you been up to this week? Here are the linky rules:
1. Link up any post from the past week that features at least one unfinished work-in-progress (WIP).
2. Somewhere in your post, you must link back here to my blog. (Or grab the WIP Wednesday button for your sidebar.)
3. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!
