WIP Wednesday: Market aftermath
Happy Wednesday! I'm back from Quilt Market and feeling so motivated! I saw some amazing fabric, fabulous new patterns, and I can't wait to get sewing. And you know what? I have only a few deadlines on the horizon and I am so excited to do some fun, whatever-I-want-to-do kind of sewing this summer.
Anyway, since I spent most of the last week in Pittsburgh, how about some pictures from Market in lieu of WIPs today? Here were some of the highlights for me:
Violet Craft's new line Brambleberry Ridge for Michael Miller. Also, she has paper-pieced animals! So there's that.
Carolyn Friedlander's new book Savor Each Stitch is uh-mazing.
Deer! So many deer. Harvey here looks pretty stylin' in Emily Herrick's Rustique collection for Michael Miller.
Heather Ross's line Far, Far Away is being released on quilting cotton for the first time by Windham. Yay!
Indelible by Katerina Rocella for Art Gallery Fabrics.
Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter gave a great schoolhouse session for her book, Fabulously Fast Quilts.
A Quilter's Mixology by Angela Pingel—this book is such a fresh, original take on Drunkard's Path blocks and curved piecing. Angela's Schoolhouse session actually made me excited about curved piecing for the first time ever! For real!
Oh yeah, the Cotton + Steel collections really do live up to the hype. Everything these ladies do is just so ... smart. I want to grow up to be them someday. 😂
American Made Brand solids by Clothworks is a fantastic new line of solids that are made right here in the states. Gotta love that.
Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew's new line for Windham, Oh, Clementine.
And friends old and new. So many of my favorite people were at this Market! This is Angela of Angela Pingel, Kaye of Miss Print, Anna of Noodlehead, Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew, Ashley of Film in the Fridge (and her crazy-cute daughter Hazel), Faith of Fresh Lemons Quilts, Amanda of Crazy Mom Quilts, and Amy of Diary of a Quilter.
Link up your WIPs! Here are the linky rules:
1. Link up any blog post from the past week that features an unfinished work-in-progress (WIP).
2. Somewhere in your post, you must link back here to my blog.
3. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!
