Summer Sampler 2019 Block 8: Handling tiny piecing

Good morning! Are you guys ready to do some tiny piecing this week? I mean, REALLY teeny tiny?

This week's block is “Fierce” by Kitty Wilkin of Night Quilter. When it comes to tiny piecing (this week's focus skill), Kitty is the expert for sure! Her Sew Tiny Sampler pattern is adorably eensy. So who better to ask to design this week's block? Yes, that tiny star in the center measures 1-1/3" square when finished. That's small, you guys. 😂

But wait, don't freak out yet! It's just paper-piecing! And you've already done two paper-pieced blocks, including last week's, which was pretty challenging. So if you haven't done tiny piecing yet, I promise you can handle it. Once you get paper-piecing down as a technique, it legit doesn't matter how big or small the design is that you're working on. That, my friends, is the beauty of paper-piecing. And you get to try that out for yourself this week with Fierce, which is one of the coolest star blocks I've done in a long time.
