Summer Sampler 2019 Block 13: Piecing diamonds
It's Monday ... that means I've got another Summer Sampler 2019 block for you!
This is Altitude, designed by Andrea Tsang Jackson of 3rd Story Workshop. Our skill this week is diamonds—they're not just for lone star quilts, you guys!
I love that this block is such a unique and creative take on the basic building-block of a lone star quilt. Honing your skill at sewing diamonds opens up so many design possibilities, like this one. Diamonds can be tricky, but it just takes a little practice to get the hang of them.
Another great thing about this block: Once you sew the diamonds together, there aren't actually any seams to match up! Always gotta appreciate that. 😂
